When I took over Dovehill Village, I had a simple vision: individualised, quality care for senior citizens. As a Registered Nurse, I’ve long witnessed and learned from vulnerable areas in our caregiving systems, and have since wanted to pursue a different, more personalised approach: to accentuate a nurturing, homestyle environment that would balance independence with healthcare requirements. To make our residents feel seen and heard.
What sets us apart from other supportive living facilities is the profound attention we pay to finer details—that which is too often overlooked by corporate and government care. We curate spaces that look and feel like one’s own, offer companionship that isn’t simply relegated to health management, and our (widely-praised) meals are home-made, thoughtfully planned, and undisputedly delicious.
When you come to Dovehill Village, you are greeted with an expansive, panoramic view of the Pacific coastline. Our two acres of land include forestry, a gorgeous garden, and plenty of animal friends who we gratefully share the property with. Our facilities take advantage of every single gift this beautiful landscape has to offer.
We meet with every single potential resident and their families to carefully ascertain every individual’s specific needs. The carefree living style of Dovehill is meant to emphasise that these years in which one may need a little extra help need not be constricting or isolating; they are indeed, for many of our residents, full of peace, warmth, and curiosities.

What are congregate services?
We provide three meals a day (with teatime), daily and weekly housekeeping, and a 24/7 emergency call system. Personal support attendants are always on site (via VIHA), and as we are RN owned and operated, we are fully capable of providing any special services your loved one may require.
Pristine conditions.
Our homey, comfortable suites are fully equipped and available furnished, with each boasting customisable space and individual access to the outdoors. Our family-style homes are also newly open for inquiry; modelled after residences in the neighbourhood, they are luxury accommodations perfect for residents who seek added privacy and independence.
Community & friendship.
Our staff are fully-trained, socially-engaged individuals eager to have a chat and spend quality time with our residents. We actively encourage and mediate companionable relationships between everyone—staff, families, friends, and residents alike—to ensure that the living experience is not only efficient and comfortable, but individually rewarding.

Refinement
As we are constantly looking to improve the quality of life of our residents, we remain always open to suggestions from families, while also undertaking our own projects to continually advance our protocols to keep up with each and every individual that we have the pleasure of welcoming through our doors.

We provide a range of stimulating and pleasant occupations to ensure that our residents are enjoying their days to the fullest. From local author readings, live music, and parlour games, there’s always something special coming up in our schedule.

Menu
Ask anyone—our meals are excellent! From a fully stocked classic breakfast, soup and sandwiches for lunch, roast chicken for dinner, and apple crumble for dessert: our food is always handmade with care, from the market to the plate, and never out of a box.

We take every precaution to provide a worry-free environment. Our facilities are impeccably and regularly maintained, and we never fail to adequately assess and address concerns that come with the times—whether that be COVID, or anything else that comes our way.
